This has been an incredibly difficult month for me. My mental health has taken a toll. A huge toll. It started in December carried through to my birthday all the way to today the last day of the month. I have been broken and not feeling my whole self. I have had good days and days where just getting out of bed was a win. It’s been a rough start to 2020, but I am still here, still fighting, still enjoying the best out of everything.
With that aside I want to tell you the amazing times I have had this month. It’s been a whirlwind from wine tasting on my birthday to learning to ski to diving deep into cooking more meals at home. It’s been a month of learning and I can’t wait to see where these different adventures take me.

If you EVER got to 2 Lads winery in Traverse City ask for Judy! She is amazing and so knowledgeable. I love her recommendations and her ability to get me to try wine that I otherwise wouldn’t want to try.

We got to meet the originator of Chateau Grand Traverse. He was chatting it up with Caitlin and my sister. Very kind of him to let us take a picture with him. As you can tell the lighting didn’t compliment those of us with glasses because it made weird shadows on our face. All is good though we still enjoyed meeting this guy.

This sleigh was super cute and the perfect spot to take out last group picture of the day.

These fine ladies and I took our first ski lesson together. It was amazing and it kept us wanting more. I for one can say that our instructor helped us out tremendously. Getting comfortable on skies before we tried any sort of decline.

I started going to the gym 5 days a week. Not to lose weight, but to gain muscle. To keep my body moving. I know over the last year of just sitting at work has hurt my body. I need to keep it moving. I am a firm believe in Newton’s First Law of Motion that states an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion.. etc. I mean how can you not believe in this when it is definitely true. So my body is staying in motion.

After our second lesson we had to get a picture with out awesome instruction David! The three of us have had so much fun learning to ski, I know I can’t wait to get back out there! See you on the slopes soon!

I started cooking more at home. It has been fun cooking and learning new recipes with ingredients that I already have in my cupboard. I couldn’t do all of this without the assistance of 5 Dinners 1 Hour. If you have heard of them look them up! It’s super fun and really easy!
This month hasn’t been the greatest month of my life, but it hasn’t been the worst. I struggled with a lot of person relationships and a lot of inner battles. Here’s to new challenges, new battles, wins, losses, experiences, and a life well worth living!
